Terms & Conditions

  1. No pets will be admitted at Mooiplaats Kennels without proof of up to date, valid annual vaccinations. Kennel cough vaccination must have been done at least 10 days prior to admittance. It is strongly advised to give your pet flea and tick treatment as well as a deworming treatment before arrival.

  2. Puppies must have had at least two vaccinations prior to entering Mooiplaats Kennels. Please note that their second vaccination must have been done at least 10 days prior to visiting us.

  3. The owner acknowledges that he or she is aware of and agree with the conditions under which the pets will be accommodated and of the fact that the pets may selectively come in contact with other pets.

  4. Pet owners are permitted to bring their pet’s own bedding. Every effort will be made to look after your pet’s bedding, toys and accessories, but Mooiplaats Kennels accepts no responsibility for their loss or damage.

  5. Pets that are not collected within 10 days after the intended date of discharge will be, at the discretion of Mooiplaats Kennels, be disposed of.

  6. Pets are boarded entirely at their owner’s risk. Mooiplaats Kennels is indemnified from any liability for loss or damage, including, but not limited to, any veterinary expenses incurred in respect of the pet, sickness or escape and loss of or damage to goods left at Mooiplaats Kennels. The pet’s owner undertakes liability for the payment of all charges imposed in terms of this contract and the boarding.

  7. The time of collection and delivery of your pet will be by prior arrangement.

Payment Conditions

  1. A 50% non-refundable deposit fee and the full non-refundable admin fee will be paid in advance to confirm booking. Proof of payment needs to be sent to louwtjie.vanrooyen@gmail.com

  2. The complete period of board contracted for must be fully paid 5 days in advance. Proof of payment needs to be sent to louwtjie.vanrooyen@gmail.com.

  3. Unpaid deposits or complete board will be taken as a cancellation.

Cancellation Policy

  1. Cancellation 2 weeks or more before admission: 100% of the board paid will be refunded, without the non-refundable deposit and non-refundable admin fee.

  2. Cancellation 1 to 2 weeks before admission: 50% of the board will be refunded, without the non-refundable deposit and non-refundable admin fee.

  3. Cancellation less than one week before admission: no refunds will be made.

  4. Fees are charged inclusive of days of arrival and departure, unless pets are collected BEFORE 9:00 sharp on departure date on weekdays, BEFORE 10:00 on Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays. That day will be free of charge.

  5. Our fees include: physical check-ups; bathing, brushing and exercising for dogs. Excluded are specifically: medication, special diets or additional services which will be charged extra.

  6. At the sole discretion of the owner or senior staff of Mooiplaats Kennels, if your pet should become sufficiently ill, a veterinarian will either be called  to attend to your pet or it will be taken to a Veterinary Hospital where it can receive the correct professional attention. The full costs are for the pet owner’s expense.

  7. All outstanding balances, including transport, Veterinary fees and expenses will be paid by the owner directly to Mooiplaats Kennels before the collection of the pet.
